Use the Associations tab to define the item types associated with each file extension. For example, you might want to associate a file extension of .java with the item type SRC.

Add Association |
For File extension, type a file extension, and from the Item type list choose an item type. This establishes an association between the file extension and item type. Click Add to add the association to the list. |
