Releasing Deployment

The Release Deployment action cancels a hold for a ChangeMan ZMF change package deployment that is currently on hold. When you release a hold, the following rules apply:

If the change package is on hold and the Promote schedule time is in the past, it will promote right away.
If the change package is on hold and the Promote schedule time is in the future, it will promote at the designated time.
If the change package is NOT on hold, it will promote at the designated time.

The fields that are displayed when configuring the deployment tasks to release a change package deployment are described in the following table.

Title	A descriptive name of the deployment task	Release a deployment
Description	A longer description that explains what the task does	This action cancels a hold for a change package deployment that is currently on hold. Upon release, the promotion job will be executed according to the deployment schedule or will be executed immediately if the scheduled time has already passed.
Action	Select Release Deployment.	<select Release Deployment>
Environments	Select from environments configured in the deployment path. For example, Dev, Test, and Prod.	<select Dev>
