Holding Deployment

Hold Deployment puts a scheduled ChangeMan ZMF change package promotion execution on hold indefinitely until it is released.

The fields that are displayed when configuring the deployment tasks to hold a change package deployment are described in the following table.

Field	Description	Example Values
Title	A descriptive name of the deployment task	Hold a deployment
Description	A longer description that explains what the task does	This action puts a scheduled deployment on hold indefinitely so that deployment is not executed until the hold is released.
Action	Select Hold Deployment.	<select Hold Deployment>
Environments	Select from environments configured in the deployment path. For example, Dev, Test, and Prod.	<select Dev>

After you create the deployment task, the task appears in the list in red, and you must then associate the related change package with the deployment task. See Linking Deployment Units to Deployment Tasks.
