Privileges tab

Use the Privileges tab to view the privileges your current user has to perform various operations on the object, and the rules according to which you are allowed to perform them. You can also view the privileges of other users if you have the necessary privilege (View Other User's Privileges).

Description

Rules and Guidelines

Show

The user for which the privileges apply.

  • Select a user from the list (only possible if you have the View Other User's Privileges privilege.)

  • Default is My privileges.

Stage

The specific stage at which any deployment related privileges apply.

  • Select a stage from the list.

Area

The specific area for which any deployment related privileges apply.

  • Select an area from the list. (After first having selected a Stage)

Enabled/Disabled icon

An icon that indicates whether the privilege is enabled (can be assigned to any users) for this object type within your current product.

  • enabled_icon.gif means enabled.

  • Version00001.jpg means disabled.

  • unresolved_privilege00002.gif means that the user’s permission cannot be resolved. You will need to select a Stage and Area above in order to determine whether the user has that privilege or not.

  • A privilege is enabled via the Administration Console.

Privilege

The name of the privilege, or the operation that can be performed on the object.

 

Description

A fuller description of the privilege.

 

Rule(s) Applied

The rule(s). The specified condition(s) under which the selected privilege can be performed or why the privilege has been denied.

Select a privilege to display a description of the rule(s).
