New/Edit Replication Configuration Dialog Box

The New/Edit Replication Configuration dialog box enables you to define or change the details of a project, request, or baseline replication configuration for the current DB site.

General Tab

Replication type

The type of replication.

Display only.

Master site

The master DB site that is responsible for sending the replication. This string consists of the node name, base database, and DB connection string.

Display only.

Configuration ID

A name that identifies the project replication configuration.

  • Required.

  • Up to 25 characters.

  • Display only for Edit Replication Configuration.

Description

Comments that describe the baseline replication.

  • Optional.

  • Up to 240 characters.

Master project

Lists the projects from all products in the base database. Select the project that you want to replicate.

Required.

Filter

Enables you to filter the list of projects. Enter the first few characters of the project specification. The project list displays any projects that match your entry.

Optional.

Is replication enabled to the subordinates

Specifies whether replication is enabled. If checked, then subordinate sites can receive projects from the master DB site. If unchecked, then subordinate sites cannot receive any projects from the master DB site.

Default: checked (replication enabled).

Branches Tab

Branches

Lists the named branches in the base database. Select the branches that you want to replicate.

Two special options include:

  • <ALL_LOCAL_BRANCHES>: Replicates all named branches owned by the master DB site to the subordinate DB sites.

  • <ALL_NAMED_BRANCHES>: Replicates all named branches on the master DB site to the subordinate DB sites except those that are owned by the subordinate DB sites.

NOTE  These options are not supported for local replication. You must explicitly select the branches to be replicated to local subordinate sites.
