Work item process apps store tasks associated with demand items, such as business requests. This enables you to break large projects into manageable pieces of work to assign to resources.
Demand items can have multiple work items, but a work item can only be associated with one demand item.
Use these features to optimize your work item process apps:
Enables resources to associate work items with demand items included in plans that are in flight. Resources can then view plan information, such as the demand item's rank, scoring, and resource and asset estimates. Demand Center users can also see a list of work items associated with each demand plan item.
Enables resources to record the amount of time spent on each work item as it moves through its process. That information is used to calculate "actuals" in Demand Center.
Enables users with administrative access to create a new work item project for each plan. If you do not have administrative access, you can link an existing work item project with each plan.
