Importing Data Into Your Database → Importing Data From Another SBM Database → Specifying SBM Data to Import
The Specify SBM Data to Import dialog box enables you to select a primary or auxiliary table from which to import data, and, if you are importing from a primary table, limit the projects from which data should be imported. You can also specify a SQL statement to limit imported records to specific criteria.
The following options are available on the Specify SBM Data to Import dialog box:
Source Primary or Auxiliary Table – This drop-down list contains all primary tables and auxiliary tables in the source database. Select the table that contains the data you want to import into SBM. You must specify a source table before continuing with the data import.
Limit by Source Project – If you selected a primary table from the Source Primary or Auxiliary Table drop-down list, select this check box to view a list of projects associated with the primary table. You can then select the check box next to each project from which you want to import data. If you do not select a project or projects, data is imported from all projects associated with the selected table. You can limit imported data by entering a SQL conditional expression as needed.
Limit Records From Source Table Where – Enter an SQL (Structured Query Language) conditional expression that matches the records you want to import. Consult your database documentation for details. If you do specify an SQL conditional expression, all records from the specified source projects are imported.
