Executing Import Options Sets

Import Option Sets are executed in the order in which they are listed on the Execute Imports dialog box. For tips on which order data should be imported into your database, refer to Data Import Order.

To execute an Import Option Set:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Import From Database. Click Next on the Introduction dialog box.
  2. On the Import Option Sets dialog box, select the Execute Imports with Existing Import Option Sets option.
  3. Select the Import Option Sets you want to execute, and then click Next.
Tip: You can use the SHIFT and CTRL keys to select multiple Import Option Sets.
  4. The Execute Imports dialog box opens. The Import Option Sets you selected are listed and are executed in the order in which they are listed. Use the Up and Down buttons to re-order the Import Options Sets so they execute in the order you want, and then click Finish.
    CAUTION:
You can abort your import by pressing the ESC key. Doing so, however, may leave your database in an unstable state.
While each Import Option Set is executed, the Last Used column displays the number of items being processed. After each Import Option Set is executed, the Last Used column displays the last execution date and time. A log file is created for each import executed. For details, refer to Import Data Log Information.
  5. Perform a "get process app" in Application Repository, and then open process app from the repository in SBM Composer. This adds imported selection field values to the process app. If you do not perform these steps, the imported selections are deleted the next time you deploy the process app.
