Upgrading Custom Templates

When you upgrade to a new version of Serena Business Manager, all HTML templates, cascading style sheets, Javascript functions, and online help files are replaced with new versions. During the upgrade process, files in the following folders are backed up:

emailtemplate
template
bin\javascript
bin\help

Note: Refer to the readme for the backup location.

You must manually merge your custom changes from your old files to the new files after you upgrade, and add your changes to the database following the instructions in Customizing Global Templates and Files.

To ease this process, Serena recommends that you limit your customization of provided templates.
