Using the Dimensions CM Plugins

The following Dimensions CM plugins are available:

• Default plugin: This plugin should be used if you use release baselines in Dimensions CM to promote, demote, and deploy your item revisions.
• Request plugin: This plugin should be used if you use requests in Dimensions CM to promote, demote, and deploy your item revisions.

You can use either or both, depending on your organization's needs.

After configuration is complete, you can do the following in Release Control release packages:

In the Requests tab (default plugin only):

• Add Dimensions CM requests to release packages as requests.
• View Dimensions CM requests that have been added.
  • View requests in the Requests tab.
  • Open the Dimensions CM request by clicking the name link.
• Synchronize request data from Dimensions CM using the Reload Request Data button.

In the Deployment Units tab:

• Associate baselines with deployment units (default plugin only).
• Associate requests with deployment units (Requests plugin only).
• Open the Dimensions CM baseline by clicking the name link (default plugin only).
• Open the Dimensions CM request by clicking the name link (Requests plugin only).
• Synchronize data from Dimensions CM using the Reload Deployment Unit Data button.

In the Deployment Tasks tab:

• Configure tasks to promote, demote, or deploy Dimensions CM baselines (default plugin only).
• Configure tasks to promote, demote, or deploy Dimensions CM requests (Requests plugin only).
