The Serena Merge tool is a Microsoft Windows-based application that enables you to compare and merge files.
You can start the Merge Tool in the following ways:
From a number of dialogs in the desktop client or web client where you specify the item revisions or files for the merge or compare.
Specifying the ancestor, target and derivative files in a Configuration file and passing the file as a parameter to the Merge Tool.
Opening the Serena Merge tool and specifying the files you want to merge or compare in the Files tab of the Configuration dialog.
