Indicating whether a task is a milestone task

A milestone task is a task that has a duration of zero days. A milestone is a special task that is used to represent an event in your project. Milestone tasks are displayed as diamonds in the Gantt chart and Network diagram.

To indicate that a task is a milestone task

  1. Open the Projects module.
  2. Select an item.
  3. Select the Task Plan tab.
  4. Select a task in the task plan.
  5. Open the Task Information dialog box.
  6. Select the Advanced tab.
  7. Select Display task as milestone.
  8. Click Close.
