Editing a task's constraint type

A flexible constraint is not associated with a specific date in the task plan schedule, whereas an inflexible constraint is. In general, using a flexible constraint (As Soon As Possible or As Late As Possible) is better than using an inflexible constraint (Must Finish On or Must Start On), especially for a task that is on the critical path. Some constraints (Finish No Earlier Than, Finish No Later Than, Start No Earlier Than, or Start No Later Than) can be both flexible and inflexible, depending on how they are used in the task plan.
