Managing Applications

Applications bring together all the components that need to be deployed together. They define the versions of each component and environment the components must go through on the way to production. They also map resources, which are the hosts and machines a component needs within each environment.

Applications processes are used to automate deployments and rollbacks, and application snapshots are used to manage versions of applications.

Note: Before configuring an application, you will need to ensure that at least one agent has been installed in a target environment. In addition, you will also need to add at least one resource group to the agent. See Managing Resources.
