Modifying System Dashboards and Views

Release Manager uses dashboards and views to provide key metrics as described in Key Metrics.

Users with the Remote Administration privilege can modify the default dashboard and views. These changes impact all users. End users can also make changes that impact their use, but not the use of other users.

This section provides guidance on modifying the provided feeds and views for both administrators and users.

Modifying the Release Dashboard

To modify the system Release Dashboard:
  • Administrators

    Select it from the Navigation pane, and then click the System button. You can then:

    • Remove a report widget. (Hover over the widget title, and then click the Delete icon.)
    • Modify a widget's title and size. (Hover over the widget title, and then click the Edit icon.)
    • Rearrange widgets. (Drag and drop widgets.)
    • Change the dashboard layout. (Click the Change Layout icon in the upper right corner.)
    • Add new widgets that contain reports or external Web pages. (Click the Plus sign in the upper right corner.)
    • Change the dashboard name. (Click the Customize icon (image)in the navigation pane, then click the System button.)
  • End users
    Select it from the Navigation pane, and then:
    • Change a widget's size. (Hover over the widget title, and then click the Edit icon.)
    • Rearrange widgets. (Drag and drop widgets.)
    • Change the dashboard layout. (Click the Change Layout icon in the upper right corner.)
    • Add new widgets that contain reports or external Web pages. (Click the Plus sign in the upper right corner.)

Modifying Calendar and Activity Views

The Calendar and Activity views for each application (Release Trains, Application Release, etc.) can be modified as follows.

To modify a view, click the Customize icon (image) in the navigation pane, expand the application that contains the view you want to modify, and then select the Calendar or Activity view.
  • Administrators

    Click the System button. You can then:

    • Remove a feed from the view. (Hover over the feed title, and then click the Delete icon.)
    • Add new feeds. (Click New to create a new feed; click Select to add an existing feed.)
    • Change the view name.
  • End users

    You can add new feeds. (Click New to create a new calendar feed; click Select to add an existing feed.)
