Work Center Side Menu Categories

Use this tab to show or hide categories (dashboards, activities, calendars, backlogs, and Kanban boards) in the Work Center side menu.

You can:

Users can modify these settings in Work Center if they are granted the Modify Side Menu Category Visibility system privilege.

Showing or Hiding Side Menu Categories for Users or Groups

To show or hide categories for a user or group:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • For users, edit a user, click User Preferences, and then open the Side Menu Categories tab.
    • For groups, edit a group, click Group Preferences, and then open the Side Menu Categories tab.
  2. Select an application or application group from the list. Or, select All to show or hide categories in the global context.
  3. Under Visible Categories, do one of the following:
    • For users, select or clear the check boxes to show or hide the corresponding categories.
    • For groups, select Show, Hide, or Leave Unchanged from each category's drop-down list. Selecting Leave Unchanged retains the category option set at the user level, while selecting Show or Hide overrides it.
  4. Click Save when you are finished.
  5. For groups, the Selected Members dialog box appears after you click Save. Do one of the following:
    • To apply the settings to all group members, click OK.
    • To prevent the settings from applying to all group members, select each user to exclude and click the right arrow button.
