Integrations and Special Interfaces → Using the Accessible Interface → About the Accessible Interface → The SBM User Workspace vs. the Accessible Interface
Expect these differences between the SBM User Workspace and the Accessible interface:
Field Display – Field names appear in bold text; field values appear in plain text. Required fields on forms are designated by an asterisk before the field name.
Field Dependencies – Field values that "auto-populate" based on administrative settings are not available.
History – Access State Change History, Change History, and Version Control History by links that appear at the bottom of the Item Details page in the Accessible interface.
Actions Drop-Down List – The Actions drop-down list is not available in the Accessible interface; however, if you have appropriate privileges, you can add a note from the Add Note link on the Item Details page.
User Profile and Application Settings – You cannot update your user profile or application settings from the Accessible interface. Most user preferences set up by your administrator or in the User Profile page of the SBM User Workspace are reflected in the Accessible interface.
Tables – You cannot manage tables from the Accessible interface; however, with appropriate privileges, you can view, update, and delete information in primary tables and auxiliary tables.
Pop-up Window Links – Table pop-up window icons displayed in the SBM User Workspace appear as View links in the Accessible interface. Click the View link to open a record related to the item you are viewing.
Knowledge Base (SBM On-Premise/PaaS customers only) – You cannot access the Knowledge Base from the Accessible interface, but with appropriate privileges, you can view, update, and delete items in the Problems and Resolutions tables that comprise the Knowledge Base.
Managing Reports – You cannot create or modify reports in the Accessible interface, but you can search for and run Listing, Multi-Table, and Trend and Distribution graphical reports previously created in the SBM User Workspace.
Large item lists and complex field configurations can slow handheld performance and, depending on the handheld browser used, can generate errors.
Use the following tips in the full SBM User Workspace to improve your performance:
Modify your user profile settings to limit the number of items displayed on pages to 50 items or less.
Modify your user profile settings to display only the field sections you need to view.
Create reports that filter item lists and display columns that you need to access from your handheld device, and then search for those reports when you need specific information.
