The
Archival Actions provides the following options for archiving
items:
-
Move items to archive – Select this option to determine which
inactive primary items or Change History records are archived. Moving items to
an archive means they are not immediately available, but they are not
permanently deleted from the system.
-
Table Name – Type a name for the archived table that
displays to users when they search the archived table in the
SBM User Workspace. The table
name can contain a maximum of 32 unicode characters. By default, the
Table Name box is populated with the name of the table you
are archiving and the word "Archives."
-
Singular Table Name – Type a name that represents the type
of item you are archiving. This name appears in the heading of the
Item Details pane for archived items. The singular table
name can contain a maximum of 32 unicode characters. By default, the
Singular Table Name box is populated with the name of the
table you are archiving and the word "Archives."
Note: You can modify the table name and singular
table name each time you archive items in a particular table.
-
Restore items back from archive – Select this option to
determine which archived inactive primary items or which item Change History
records are restored.
-
Purge Items – Select this option to determine which archived
inactive primary items, including files attached to those items, or item Change
History records are permanently deleted from the database.
Click
Next to continue. Depending on the type of action you selected,
one of two dialog boxes opens.
