Finding Items → Using Search Features → About Search Features in the SBM User Workspace
The following search options are available in the SBM User Workspace:
ID Search – This feature, located on the Application toolbar, enables you to search for primary items in the selected application by item ID. For details, refer to Searching for Items by ID.
Basic Searches – This feature enables you to perform searches for primary items in the selected application. You can search either by keyword or by submitter. For details, refer to Searching for Items by Keyword or Submitter.
Advanced Search – This feature enables you to perform searches for primary and auxiliary items, archived primary items, and notes and attachments in primary and auxiliary tables, depending on your privileges. Your administrator determines which fields can be searched on the Advanced Search page. For details, refer to Searching for Items Using Advanced Search.
Advanced Lookup Tool – This feature enables you to search for and manage primary items in a three-pane view, depending on your privileges. Your administrator determines which fields are available in the Lookup form for entering search criteria. For details, refer to Using the Advanced Lookup Tool.
Global Search – This feature enables you to search for items in multiple primary and auxiliary tables at once. If you have appropriate privileges, you can save your search specifications as a Multi-Table report. For details, refer to Using Global Search.
Field Value Search – This feature enables you to locate values for selection fields, such as User fields or Multi-Relational fields. This is useful for finding the correct value for a field that may have many selections. Two types of Field Value Search options are available: Value Find and Relational Field Value Lookup.
