Search View

The Search view provides links to the following search features. Privileges may determine the search features available to you.
Search feature Description
Search by Keyword Searches for primary items in the selected application by keyword. For details, refer to Searching for Items by Keyword or Submitter.
Search by Submitter Searches for primary items in the selected application by submitter.
Advanced Search Searches for primary and auxiliary items, archived primary items, or notes and attachments in primary and auxiliary tables. Your administrator determines which fields can be searched on the Advanced Search page. For details, refer to Using Advanced Search.
Global Search Searches for items in multiple primary and auxiliary tables at once. If you have appropriate privileges, you can save your search specifications as a Multi-Table report. For details, refer to Using Global Search.
Use Advanced Lookup Tool Searches for primary items in the selected application using a three-pane view. For details, refer to Using the Advanced Lookup Tool.
Knowledge Base

(on-premise customers only)

Searches for problems and resolutions in the Knowledge Base. For details, refer to Searching the Knowledge Base.
Manage Data Opens the Auxiliary Data feature, where you can search for items in the auxiliary tables that you have privileges to manage. You can also submit and update auxiliary items using this feature.
