Editing Notes and Attachments

You can edit existing attachments or notes if you have appropriate privileges. If the edit icon does not appear next to an attachment or note, you do not have the privileges needed to edit it.

To edit a note:

  1. Click the edit icon next to the note.
  2. Update the note text, and tjem click Update Note.

To edit an attachment:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • To replace the existing attachment, click the edit icon next to the attachment. Browse to the file that you edited, and then click Edit Name and/or Replace File.
      Note: If you replace a file attachment, you overwrite the previously uploaded file in the attachments directory.
    • To add the file as a new attachment, select Add File from the Actions drop-down list. Browse to the file that you edited, and then click Upload & Attach File.
    Note: If the attachment was originally added to a Text field or note using the Rich Text Editor, the field or note is updated after you edit the attachment.
