Adding URLs to Favorites Folders

You can add links to Web pages inside or outside of SBM to favorites folders. For example, you can specify a URL for a report created in an external reporting tool, such as Crystal Reports. When clicked, these links open the specified Web page in a new browser window.

To add a URL to a favorites folder:

  1. Open the Favorites view using one of the following methods:
    • From the Task page, click the Show My Favorites link.

    • From the navigation pane, click the Favorites link.

  2. Click the Add URL icon: image. The Add Link to Your Favorites dialog box opens.
  3. In the Name box, type a name that will appear as the favorite name.
  4. In the URL box, type the URL path of the Web site in the box. The hypertext transfer protocol (http://) is automatically added to the URL if you do not provide it.
  5. By default, the favorites root folder is selected in The Add Link to Folder drop-down list. Select another folder from the list as needed.
  6. Click OK.
  7. A message prompt opens, indicating that a favorite was successfully added to your favorites. Click OK.

The URL link that you added appears in the Favorites view.
