Configuring Component Version Deployment Tasks

After a Component Versions Actions configuration has been added or updated as needed, you can configure deployment tasks to deploy Deployment Automation component versions.

The deployment is done by running the selected process type, application or component.

Note: Although a process may execute any kind of operation, such as configuration only, the typical purpose is deployment.

The fields that are displayed when configuring the deployment tasks are described in the following table.

Title Title of the deployment task Deploy Qlarius QSocial App
Description Description of the task Task to deploy component versions for the QSocial Application
Action Select from available actions. Available actions depend on configuration selections. Options include:
  • Run Application Process
  • Run Component Process
  • Run Application Process (One Component)

Run Application Process

Application The name of the Deployment Automation application to be used QSocial
Application Process The name of the Deployment Automation application process to run
Note: This appears only if Show Application Process Action is selected in the configuration.
Deploy QSocial App
Component Process The name of the Deployment Automation component process to run
Note: This appears only if Show Component Process Action is selected in the configuration.
Deploy QSocial Web
Component Versions Click the link icon beside the field to select the component versions that you want to associate with the task.

Use available items: Select component versions that have already been added.

Use available configurations: Search for existing component versions or create new ones. Select an item configuration. See Configuring Component Version Deployment Tasks.

Environment Select each environment in which you want to execute the task. These are the environments configured in the deployment path. For example, Dev, Test, and Prod. QA
Resources The target Deployment Automation resource on which to run the process
Note: This appears only when the Run Component Process action is selected.
