Revise Baseline Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to create a revised release baseline from a release baseline.

Use the General tab to specify the baseline and its scope.

See Attributes Tab/Page for how to view and change the user-defined attributes of a baseline.

Baseline Specification

The ID of the selected baseline.

The new baseline inherits the product ID.

New Baseline ID

Type a unique name or label for the baseline.

This name must be unique within the product.

Maximum length is 128 characters.

Type

Select a baseline type.

The default is the type of the selected baseline.

Baseline types are defined in the Administration Console. For more information, see the Process Configuration Guide.

If user-defined attributes exist for the selected type, use the Attributes tab to view and change these entries.

Requirements

Select this option if you want to include/exclude item revisions based on related requirements.

 

Requests

Select this option if you want to include/exclude item revisions based on related requests.

 

Update Baseline using

The list of requests used to update item revisions in the baseline.

Type, or copy, one or more request IDs, or click the Browse button to find them.

See Revising Baselines for details of how the requests are processed.

Use commas to separate request IDs in the list.

Request IDs have the following format:

productID_changedocType_ number

You can select a maximum of 496 requests.

Remove From Baseline

The list of requests used to remove item revisions in the baseline.

Type, or copy, one or more request or requirement IDs, or click the Browse button to find them.

See Revising Baselines for details of how the requests are processed.

Use commas to separate IDs in the list.

Request IDs have the following format:

productID_changedocType_ number

Traverse Request Relationships

Check to include item revisions in all requests related to the requests that are listed above.

 

Project/Stream Selector

Check Use global or Use current

The project/stream determines which item revisions are available for inclusion in the baseline.

If you check Use global, the top-level design part determines which item revisions are available for inclusion in the baseline.

Product

Select the product whose items you want to include in the baseline.

The default is the product for the project/stream. The product does not have to match the product ID for the baseline you are creating.

ID

Select the project or stream.

The default is the current project/stream.
