New Transition Dialog Box

The New Transition dialog box allows you to create a transition from one stage in the Global Stage Lifecycle to another stage. It also enables you to specify which roles are allowed to promote items through this transition.

Clicking the add button: opens the New Role Definition Dialog Box, which enables you to create a new role. When you have created the role it is added to the table of roles in this dialog box.

There is a check box: at the top of the dialog to enable you to continue adding more stages without dismissing the dialog box.

Field	Description	Rules and Guidelines
From Stage	The stage from which the transition will occur. NOTE Case is ignored. The name is stored in Dimensions in upper case, and will be displayed with initial caps.	Default: The stage selected if previously selected from the Lifecycle Model. Enter the name, or the name of a new stage in the text field or Choose a stage from the list.
To Stage	The stage to which the transition will occur. NOTE Case is ignored. The name is stored in Dimensions in upper case, and will be displayed with initial caps. Selection Check Box	A check box indicating if this role is selected for the transition.	Check to select the role.
Name	The name of the role.	Display only.
Optional	A check box indicating if the role is optional.	Default: Unchecked.
Pending	A check box indicating if the role is pending.	Default: Unchecked.
