Tracking Release Train Scope Changes

You can track release trains scope changes by using RFC associations. This lets you see what actually was included in the release versus what was originally planned.

While you are initially planning a release train, you can change the RFC associations as many times as needed to define the scope of the release train. However, once the RFC is approved, Serena Release Manager records the list of RFCs associated with the release train. If you then return the release train to the planning state and remove or add RFCs, Serena Release Manager records these changes.

To run a report on release train scope changes:

  1. In the Reports page, run the Release Train Scope Change report.

  2. Select the release train for which you want to report on the scope.

The report lists the RFCs added or deleted from the release train since it was first approved.
