Assignments

An assignment is the commitment of a resource (work or material) to perform actual work on a task in a task plan. You can use the Assign Resources dialog box to assign a resource to a task in a task plan. Resources that have been assigned to work on a task in a task plan can report progress against that task using their timesheet.
