Filtering a task plan

When you enable the filter on a task plan, you will not be able to make any changes, even when the task plan is checked out. This is because a filtered task plan may not contain all of the data in the task plan. Changes made to a task plan can be applied to the complete task plan by not allowing changes to a filtered task plan.

To filter a task plan

  1. Open the Projects module.
  2. Select an item.
  3. Select the Tasks tab.
  4. Click to open the Properties dialog box.
  5. Select the Columns tab to define the attributes you want to use to view tasks.
  6. Select the Filters tab to define the criteria with which you want to filter the view.
  7. Click to save the changes in the Properties dialog box.
  8. Apply your changes.
