Enabling email notifications

After a messaging server and a notification queue have been configured, you can enable email notifications. To do this, you will need to identify the SMTP server address, the port number, specify the default sender, and the default email address from which notifications will be sent.

To enable email notifications

  1. From the top-level navigation, open the Admin module.
  2. Select Customization.
  3. Select the Environment Settings tab.
  4. Select the Notification Settings tab.
  5. Select Enable Email Notifications. Only users who have an email address entered and the Send Email Notifications option selected from the Users tab of the Security tab can receive email notifications.
  6. Enter the name from whom the email notification is sent.
  7. Enter the email address from whom the email notification is sent.
  8. Enter the address for the SMTP server through which an email notification is sent.
  9. Enter the port through which an email notification is sent.
  10. Click Save Save.
