What's New
The following features and activities are new in Serena Agile:
Taskboard
A taskboard is a visual snapshot of what the team is currently working on in the current sprint, including what the team is currently working on, what the team is planning to work on, and what the team has not yet started to work on.
Integration with Serena Business Mashups
You can now integrate Serena Agile with Serena Business Mashups for demand management, issue/defect management, and Agile project management. Team members can create, review, and track issues, defects, and enhancements using Serena Business Mashups and then track and manage the related work using Serena Agile. Visibility into the status and progress for any work item is available from both Serena Agile and Serena Business Mashups.
RSS feeds for Backlogs
You can subscribe to an RSS feed for any backlog in Serena Agile.
Team Member Assignments
Team members can now be assigned to teams. You can filter tasks and defects by team member from the sprint taskboard. Resource attributes for work items will only show team members when that work item is assigned to a team or a sprint backlog.
Move Work Items between Projects
You can now move work items between projects. For example, if you added a work item into the wrong location within the work hierarchy, or if you need to split a project into multiple projects.
Re-parent Work Items for Teams and Sprints
You can now re-parent work items within teams and prints without first having to move that work item back into a project or a release.
Multi-select Delete
You can now select multiple work items (by using the CTRL+click keyboard option) and then delete multiple work items with a single action.
Quick Filter by Work Item Type
You can now filter work items in a backlog by work item type.
Improvements to Backlog Ranking
Ranking stories is now easier to do while working in a backlog. The list mode option now displays all work items as a flat list (ignoring all parent-child relationships). This will allow you to rank every work item, regardless of work item type. This improvement, combined with the ability to quickly filter a backlog by work item type, will make it easier for users to work in backlogs.
Enhancements for Import Data
The Import Data template is improved for Serena Agile. Columns are automatically created based on the attributes that you have added to Serena Agile.
SSO Integration for Get Satisfaction
It is now easier to participate in the Serena Agile community. When a user logs on to Serena Agile, they will also be logged onto Get Satisfaction.
Defects Resolved
For a complete list of fixes in Serena Agile, consult the following query in the Serena Support Knowledgebase. Note that the previous version of Serena Agile was only available on demand.
