Environment Roles

These roles define the functions users can perform with environments (see the Permissions Available for Every Role table). Available permissions are read, write, execute, and security.

To add users to environment roles:


  1. Display the Security tab for the target environmentComponents > [selected component] > Security.

    All defined roles are displayed.


  2. Use the Add Role Member action for a specific role, then select the user.

    All users are available. As shipped, Serena Release Automation provides anAdmin role with all configured permissions granted. By default,Admin has a single user—admin.
