Forms are pages in the SBM User Workspace from which users submit, transition, update, and view items.
See the Tutorial for a video about how to use forms.
Right-click the Forms heading in App Explorer, point to Add New, and then select State Form or Transition Form. Alternatively, you can click New on the Form tab of the Property Editor for a workflow, state, or transition.
A transition form lets users update items when they execute a transition. For example, an Assign transition form could contain fields such as Developer and Target Turnover, in which users select values. A state form provides a read-only view of the field values for an item when it is in the state associated with the form. For example, when a workflow is in the New state, its state form could show the values that a user entered for the Title and Description fields.
A quick form is automatically generated based on the fields in the primary table. It has a static layout based on privilege sections. On a custom form, you can create sections and organize fields within them the way you want. It can include your own images, hyperlinks, static text, buttons, JavaScript files, and widgets.
You select the form on the Form tab of the state or transition Property Editor.
On the Forms tab of the workflow Property Editor, you can specify a default form for states and transitions in the workflow. If you select this option, the default form is used.
