The following sections describe how to promote and deploy the required process apps for the implementation of Serena ALM that you will be using.
Because there are shared process apps between Release Manager, Development Manager, and Requirements Manager, you will not necessarily promote and deploy all of the process app snapshots contained in the solution file. The tables below indicate which ones are required for your combination of the orchestrations. If you are using Development Manager, refer to the Development Manager table. If you are using Release Manager, refer to the Release Manager table. Refer to both tables if using Release Manager and Development Manager.

The Global Process App imports sample Groups and Users to the new environment. If you do not want these users and groups, you can exclude this option when you promote this process app. For details, see Promoting the Development Manager Snapshots.
You must create the ReleaseRequestService endpoint before promoting this snapshot. See Updating the Development Manager Endpoints.
ALM Projects must be promoted before these snapshots because they depend upon the DVMUtilService endpoint that is created by ALM Projects.
You must manually select the DVMUtilService endpoint when promoting these snapshots.
Consult the Requirements Manager Installation Guide if you are configuring Requirements Manager in addition to Development Manager or Release Manager.
