Deployment packages typically deploy artifacts for multiple
applications.
For more about deployment, see
Deployment.
To run a deployment package process:
-
Navigate to the deployment package page:
Management > Deployment Packages > [select
package].
-
Click the
Run button. The process wizard is displayed.
-
If the deployment package has a pipeline associated with it,
select from the pipeline options.
-
Select one or more environments in which to run if prompted. These
may be limited based on pipeline selection or environment selection.
- If you select the
Do not use pipeline option in the previous
step, selected environments do not initiate a pipeline execution, even if you
select the first environment in the pipeline.
- If you select multiple environments, the processes execute in
these in parallel and any steps that don't have any environments already
specified use the same set of environments.
- The selection list shows environments that have application
environment counterparts in all used applications. However, if you click
Show all available environments,
environments that are used in at least one of the used applications are added
to the list.
-
If prompted, enter or select values as needed. The selections for
versions, snapshots, and other properties are taken from the application or
component process properties if set.
-
When finished, click
Submit to start the process.
When a process starts, the
Request page is displayed with a visual
indication of the progress.
-
To view information for a step, click the step in the process
graphic. The status of each step is shown in color as follows:
- Blue: Waiting to start
- Yellow: Running
- Green: Succeeded
- Red: Failed
- Grey: Cancelled
See
Analyzing Deployments.
People notified for any approvals must approve or reject. See
Approving Requests.
Note: If gate conditions are defined for a target environment, the
component versions or snapshots are deployed into that environment only if
their status meets those conditions. See
Gates.
