Component properties include not only properties to be resolved for the component, but also settings that can be overridden for each environment the component is mapped to and for each version of the component.

The types of properties available to add to components are as follows:
These user-defined component properties can be used in scripts and plugins. Properties inherited from templates cannot be modified on the component level.
These user-defined environment properties are available to environments that use the component. Values can be set at the individual environment level.
These user-defined version properties are available to this component's versions. Values can be set at the individual version level.
