Creating Applications

You can create a new application or import an existing one. See Importing/Exporting Applications for information about importing applications.

To create an application:

  1. Navigate to Management > Applications.
  2. Click the Applications Actions button and then select Create Application.
  3. Enter the information needed to create the application as follows:
    Field Description
    Name and Description Typically, correspond to the application you plan on deploying.
    Notification Scheme Notifications based on events can be sent out due to Deployment Automation integrations with LDAP and email servers. For example, when an application deployment fails or succeeds, the default notification scheme sends out an email. Notifications can also be used to send out emails to a user or a group, based on their security role, for approval of a requested deployment. See Creating Notification Templates.
    Pipeline Select the pipeline you want to use for this application's process requests. See Managing Pipelines.
    Enforce Complete Snapshots If selected, the application requires every component to be versioned.
  4. To continue creating applications and stay in the list, click Save. To start configuring the application you just created, click Build Out.
