Application Server Management Plugins → Oracle WebLogic WLDeploy Plugin → Creating a Configure Data Source Step
This step updates an existing data source with the specified configuration options.
Required properties:
Property Name | Description |
---|---|
Hostname | Enter the hostname of the Weblogic server. The default value is localhost. |
Port | Enter the port on which the Weblogic server is hosted. The default value is 7001. |
Username | Enter the username for Admin Console access. |
Password | Enter the password for Admin Console access. |
Path to WebLogic Client Jar |
Enter the full path to the WebLogic client Jar file. |
Name | Enter the name of the data source being created. The default value is JDBCConnectionPool. |
Optional properties:
Property Name | Description |

Database URL | Enter the database URL used to create connections in this connection pool. The default value is jdbc:pointbase:server://localhost:7001/example |
Driver Name | Enter the full package name of the JDBC driver class used to create the physical connections between the WebLogic Server and the Database Management System for this connection pool. The default value is com.pointbase.DataSource |
Initialize SQL | Enter the SQL statement to execute or initialize a physical database connection. The default value is SELECT COUNT(*) FROM InitSQL |
Initial Connection Pool Capacity | Enter the number of physical database connections to create when creating the connection pool. The default value is 1. |
Maximum Connection Pool Capacity | Enter the maximum number of physical database connections that this connection pool can contain. The default value is 15. |
Database Password | Enter the password for the database. |
