Creating Configuration Templates

After you have prepared to use configuration templates, you can create them.

To create a configuration template:

  1. Navigate to the Management > Components > [selected component] > Templates.
  2. Click the Create Configuration Template button.
  3. Enter a name in the Name field.
  4. In the Template field, enter or paste the template text. The amount of text is based on the database used by Deployment Automation. In general, there is no limit to the amount of text used for a configuration template. For an example, see Serena Central.
  5. Click Save.

To edit a configuration template, click the Edit icon beside it in the list.
