Step 5: Mapping an Agent to an Environment

Before an agent or other resource can be mapped to a component within an application's environment, the agent or resource must be associated with the environment at the global level.

To map an agent to our environment:

Navigate to Management > Environments > [select the DV1 environment] > Resources [tab] > Add a Resource [button].
Select an agent in the Select a Resource field. In this example, select any agent that you have connected to your server.
Click Save.

The environment is now associated with the agent that resides on the physical machine to which you will deploy your artifacts. Later you will need to map the component to this agent in the application's environment, as environments may have more than one resource associated with them.
