Server Installation: General Program Settings

To install a simple installation, you can take the defaults.

The following fields appear on the server installation wizard General Program Settings panel:

• Use existing settings

  For upgrading or reinstall. If you want to install the server using the existing settings and maintain the database, select this option.

  Default: not selected

• Skip database creation
  If you are installing a second server in an active-active configuration and you want maintain the existing database with its existing settings, select this option.

  Note:

  • You will need to provide connectivity information to get access to an existing database.
  • You cannot use this option with Derby databases.

  Default: not selected

• JMS Connections port

  Specifies the port on which the Deployment Automation agents you install will make JMS Connections to the Deployment Automation server.

  Default: 7918

• Agent Mutual Authentication

  If selected, agents will use SSL mutual authentication. If not selected, agents will use unauthenticated mode; communication is encrypted but users do not have to authenticate or verify their credentials.
