You create the initial component version by creating a component and
importing artifacts into the artifact repository,
        CodeStation.
You can import component versions from a number of different sources either
        manually or automatically.

      To create a component:

    -
Ensure that any artifacts you want to import into
          Deployment Automation
are ready and are in the location from which you want to import them, such as
your file system or a source configuration tool.

-
        Navigate to
          Components > Create Component [button].

-
Enter the information needed to create the component.

          - The basic fields are available for every source type. See
            Basic Fields.

          - Select the source location of your artifacts in
Source Config Type, and then complete the
additional fields specific to that source configuration type. Once the source
configuration type is defined, all artifacts for the component must be of that
            defined type. See
            Source Configuration Type Fields.

-
        Click
          Save.

Saved components are listed in the

Components page. If you have selected

Import Versions Automatically, the initial
versions will appear under the component's

Versions tab after the polling period plus any
quiet period have elapsed. If not, you must import the initial versions
      manually. See

Component Versions.
