Database Installation

If you are using the built-in Derby database, you do not need to prepare the database before installing the server. If selected, the Derby database is created during the server installation. If you are using Derby, continue with Interactive Server Installation.

In addition to the supplied Derby database, Deployment Automation currently supports Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases. The following topics tell how to prepare these databases before the server installation and the options to use for each database type during server installation.
