Using Deployment Automation → Managing Applications → Approval Processes → Work Items
If a job requiring approval is created, an approval process must be created. The job requiring approval appears in the approvers Work Items page. Until approved, the job remains idle if unscheduled. If time elapses on a scheduled job needing approval, the job fails.
This control allows approvers to verify deployment details and choose the time to deploy. If the system is configured with an e-mail server and the user has an e-mail address set, notifications are sent to users who are eligible to complete an approval step.
In the Works Items page, approvers can:
To respond to a request, approvers click Respond in the Actions column to display the Respond dialog box. They may optionally enter comments. If they reject a request, the process will not run. If they approve, the process will begin.
