Using Deployment Automation → Managing Environments → Creating Environments
Before you can run a deployment, you must create at least one environment that associates components with an agent on the target host. You then associate the environment with an application, where you configure the environment.
To create an environment:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Name | Name is used as part of the deployment process, and typically corresponds to the target environment. For example, if you are deploying to an integration environment, you may want to use the name "SIT". |
Description | Description is optional text. |
The environment is created. For information on configuring environments, including setting the properties, see Mapping Environments to Applications.
