Server Installation: General Program Settings

The following table describes the fields that appear on the server installation wizard General Program Settings panel:

Directory to install the Release Automation server.
Note:

You cannot use redirected drives for this path because Serena Common Tomcat starts as a service. See the Serena Support Knowledgebase Solution S139852 if this is a concern for you.

Use existing settings not selected For upgrading or reinstall. If you want to install the server using the existing settings and maintain the database, select this option.
Skip database creation not selected If you are installing a second server in an active-active configuration and you want maintain the existing database with its existing settings, select this option.
Note:
  • You will need to provide connectivity information to get access to an existing database.
  • You cannot use this option with Derby databases.
JMS Connections port 7918 Specifies the port on which the Release Automation agents you install will make JMS Connections to the Release Automation server.
Agent Mutual Authentication not selected If selected, agent will use SSL mutual authentication. If not selected, agent will use unauthenticated mode; communication is encrypted but users do not have to authenticate or verify their credentials.
