Configuring Deployment Automation in Release Automation

Release Manager automation deployment tasks initiate processes in Release Automation. Before users can deploy using Release Automation processes, you must configure the necessary elements and processes in Release Automation.

Important:

The Release Automation environments and applications must be linked to Release Manager environments and applications before you can select them in deployment tasks.
Applications, environments, components, component versions, application and component processes, and any required properties must be properly configured in Release Automation or the deployment requests will fail.

To configure the automation deployment integration with Release Automation, use the following procedure:

Ensure that you have a supported installation of Release Automation and configure your Release Automation settings using SBM Configurator if you haven't done so already. Refer to Configuring Release Manager.
Note:
SBM Configurator writes settings for the Release Automation REST services to the following file. If you need to change the settings after the initial configuration in SBM Configurator, you must change this file manually.

Configure the processes you are using for deployment in Release Automation.
