Deploying Using Nolio Processes

A typical Nolio process execution based on sample data is given here. Details may vary for your implementation, but the concepts are the same.

To run a Nolio process from Release Manager:

  1. Add automation deployment tasks as follows:
    1. In a turnover, select the Deployment Tasks tab, and then click Edit Deployment Tasks.
    2. On the form that opens, click +, and then select Auto.
    3. Select the environment in which you want to run this deployment task.
    4. In the Automation Application list, select a Release Automation application that contains Nolio processes.

The Automation Process menu lists all available processes for the selected application. For example:

      Run Process

    5. Select the Run Process process.

The Properties fields show the related Release Automation properties. For example:

      • Application Name
      • Environment Name
      • Process Name
      • Process Tag
      • Nolio Servers
      • Parameters
    6. Enter or select the Application Name, Environment Name, Process Name, and Process Tag.
      • You can use wildcard filters for the Application Name, Environment Name, Process Name, and Process Tag.

      • Select the name you want using the resulting Select Value form.

      • Entry data is not case sensitive.

    7. Enter any other optional information.
    8. Save the deployment task.
  2. Add any other deployment tasks similarly to how you created the preceding deployment task.
  3. After you have created all your deployment tasks for your turnover, deliver the turnover, accept it, and start the deployment according to your turnover process.
