Release Manager - Release Automation → Installation and Configuration → System Administration → ALF Events
Release Automation can emit Serena Application Lifecycle Framework (ALF) events to a target endpoint server. ALF is an integrative layer for Serena products. You can use ALF events for custom integrations from SBM to Release Automation.
To use ALF events, you must specify the following connection information.

| SBM Link |
A full URL to an SBM event generation service or a root URL to SBM server where the event manager is hosted. The link format should be as follows: protocol://host:port |
| User Name | User name used to perform authorization on the SBM server. |
| User Password | Password used to perform authorization on the SBM server. |
The ALF events apply to the several categories, and there are corresponding sections in the user interface that you can expand or collapse individually. You can use the following control buttons to more easily work with the ALF event options:

Agent
| Event | Description |

| Status changed | If this option is selected, ALF Events for agent status change will be emitted from Release Automation. |
Application

| Process Started | If this option is selected, ALF Events for application process start will be emitted from Release Automation. |
| Process Finished | If this option is selected, ALF Events for application process finish will be emitted from Release Automation. |
| Snapshot Created | If this option is selected, ALF Events for application snapshot creation will be emitted from Release Automation. |
| Snapshot Modified | If this option is selected, ALF Events for application snapshot deletion will be emitted from Release Automation. |
| Approval Required | If this option is selected, ALF Events will be emitted when application approval is required. |
| Manual Task Created | If this option is selected, ALF Events will be emitted when manual tasks are created for application processes. |
Component
