About the SBM Orchestration Engine

The SBM Orchestration Engine refers to the components that execute process apps that contain orchestrations. These components include the System Event Manager and other components such as the BPEL engine.

The Default environment has these already defined if you installed them on the same machine as Application Repository. If you installed them separately, you must specify the Event Manager server and the BPEL server on the list of target servers for the chosen environment. For more information, see Setting Up the Event Manager and Setting Up the BPEL Engine.

Behind the scenes, the Event Manager routes and filters events to orchestration workflows. That process is visible in the Event Manager sub-tab. This tab displays the activity that is taking place on the Event Manager. Because there are likely to be a great number of events, you can define a filter to limit the events displayed. For details, see Event Manager.
