Setting up Self-Registration for Users

The Self-Registration feature allows non-SBM users, such as customers and partners, to register as new SBM users with External User or Occasional User product access. You can configure self-registration to work with or without intervention from an existing SBM user.

To set up self-registration for non-SBM users:

  1. Enable anonymous access to SBM. For details, refer to Setting Up Public Knowledge Base and External User Access.
  2. Optionally, select the group to which new external users will be automatically added.
  3. Optionally, enable e-mail confirmation for new users.
  4. Enable self-registration and set up the Self-Registration form that appears to users when they sign up for an account.
  5. Specify whether you want user accounts to be automatically created or manually created by an SBM user.
  6. Optionally, enable password requests.
